Building Internal Awareness- Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the tool that allows you to connect the mind and body. You will be guided into somatic experiencing exercises that will enhance your awareness of your body’s sensations so that you begin to understand your bodies language and it innate wisdom. Where the language of the body and the language of the mind connected so that you can have a new future full of possibilities, joy and peace.
In order to free the body from the mind we need to build strong internal awareness.
Somatic therapy uses internal awareness as its main tool to unlock the limiting patterns that are bouncing back and forth between our minds and our bodies, which in turn influence our behaviors, our reactions and how we respond to life.
Who can benefit from Somatic Therapy
Anyone can benefit from somatic therapy. however if you have been doing traditional talk therapy and are still feeling stuck somatic psychotherapy might be a good next step. Somatic therapy’s can help you move forward and really let go of the past and its limiting beliefs, stories and emotions.
Will it help if I am new to therapy?
YES! somatic therapy is for anyone who wants to make change.
Somatic psychotherapy can literally release the past from your body. The past is most often stored in our bodies in the form of emotions. And the emotions are activated by the thoughts in our heads. Once we have a good understanding of how the actual events in our lives have impacted us and shaped us next thing is to release it from the body.
Do I need to like mediation or know how to do it?
NO. meditation is not for everyone but we can all build internal awareness using mindfulness. And you do not have to know how to quiet your mind to do so.
